Education:  Received his undergraduate degree from The Citadel and his J.D. from Mercer University.  Admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2004 and the Georgia Bar in 1989.

Professional/Community Activities:  Served on active duty with the U.S. Army Jag Corps from 1989 - 1998 and continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve; Admitted to all Federal Courts in North Carolina, Mr. Vonnegut is also admitted to the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Illinois; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit; and the U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals; Member of the North Carolina Bar Association (Bankruptcy and Real Property sections)
